Come as you are, a being of story and sensation, shaped by the winds of experience and the quiet pull of yearning. Together, we will step into the aliveness of the present moment, exploring the landscapes of your inner world as we attune to the rhythms of the outer one.
My approach to therapy is grounded in relationship and the living dialogue between self and nature. Through mindfulness, somatic awareness, narrative exploration, and practices rooted in the landscape, we create a space where the body’s wisdom and the earth’s quiet voice can guide the way.
Our work together may unfold beneath a canopy of trees or along the curve of a trail, where movement invites clarity and stillness reveals truths waiting to surface. At the llama farm, the steady presence of these gentle creatures might offer a sense of calm and grounding, their quiet companionship an anchor amid life’s uncertainties. We may shape meaning through simple, tactile acts—carving a spoon, weaving art from fallen branches, or gathering wild foods—all ways of listening deeply to the wisdom of your hands and the living world around you.
For those farther afield or drawn to the flexibility of telehealth, I offer virtual sessions—a way to weave connection and continuity across distances. Many find harmony in combining in-person and remote sessions, allowing the work to meet them wherever they are.
Wherever we meet—whether in nature or online—I aim to create a space that is open, supportive, and grounded in the belief that healing can happen when we connect deeply with ourselves, each other, and the natural world.

Influential Modalities:
Nature is an important need for many and vital in keeping us emotionally, psychologically, and physically healthy. Simply being outside has passive benefits long known to be helpful, but the ways in which we connect to nature can extend further -- to metaphor, relationship, and awe. Nature connection refers to the way we relate to and experience nature. Nature-based therapy nurtures this connection through practices and interventions that are appropriate for each participant along their healing path.
Immersion in natural settings lowers cortisol levels, which helps alleviate stress and anxiety. Natural environments provide a calming effect, helping the body and mind relax more effectively.
Spending time in nature boosts serotonin levels, which can lead to improved mood and reduced symptoms of depression. Natural surroundings contribute to a sense of well-being and emotional stability.
Engaging in nature-based activities, such as walking, hiking, or gardening, increases physical activity, which benefits cardiovascular health, strengthens muscles, and improves overall fitness.
Nature-based therapy can enhance attention, concentration, and memory. Natural settings help restore mental fatigue and improve cognitive performance by providing a break from the demands of daily life.
Being in nature encourages mindfulness, helping individuals stay present and focused. The natural environment promotes relaxation by reducing mental clutter and creating a peaceful atmosphere.
Llamas exhibit intelligence and curiosity while keeping calm and gentle-natured, making them wonderfully appropriate for therapeutic work. They communicate honestly and directly, but without judgment. Working with the llamas encourages our empathetic and nurturing traits, and their thick soft fiber welcomes the opportunity for safe therapeutic touch.
An animal's presence in therapy may improve session attendance and presence, and contribute to deeper counselor-client rapport and trust.
Petting a llama may provide emotional support while attending to grief, loss, or other stressful experiences.
Caring for and grooming a llama teaches self-care skills and develops improved self-image alongside empathy.
Experiential learning and the demonstration of knowledge about llamas improves memory recall as well as self-confidence.
Learning and exhibiting appropriate training skills engages concentration and attention while developing planning and problem-solving abilities.
The human-animal bond acts as a window into the other-than-human world inviting heightened self-awareness, deep nature connection, and belonging.

Contact me for a consultation.
I will return your contact at the soonest opportunity. We will schedule a 15 minute call to discuss treatment fit, exchange contact information and availability, discuss a session rate, choose a meeting location, and schedule an intake session.
Following this conversation, I will email you with information regarding the encrypted text messaging application I use, the platform utilized for telehealth, how to complete intake paperwork, and how to conduct payment transactions.
For telehealth meetings, it is helpful if you have a reliable internet connection, gentle lighting, and a set of headphones. You will need to enforce your own privacy in selecting a location and appointment time.
Session length and rates:
Our initial 15 minute consultation is free of charge. Costs for subsequent sessions may vary. I am able to further adapt costs to your current economic situation if needed. I offer private pay sessions at the following rates:
60 minutes | $100
90 minutes | $140
2 hours | $175
I offer longer session lengths for those wanting to do more intensive healing work, desiring extended sessions for trauma processing, or simply craving more space in their therapy process.
Payment Methods (and Insurance):
I accept cash, check, and all credit and debit cards. Payments are due at the beginning of session. Payments are auto-billed to a card on file on the day of each session.
I do not submit claims to insurance, and am not in-network with any insurance company. If you have a PPO, I may be able to be an “out of network” provider. You will still be charged at the time of service, but I will provide you with a detailed record of payment (“superbill”) that you can submit for possible reimbursement monthly. Your PPO plan will determine your benefits and reimbursement. Simply ask your insurance company about the “out of network” benefits for therapy to understand what they will cover. Please be aware that by submitting a superbill for reimbursement, you may grant your insurance company the right to access your records.
Cancellation/Reschedule Policy:
If you should decide to cancel within 48 hours or not show up for our appointment time, I will charge a missed-session fee equivalent to our agreed upon session rate. Rescheduling two business days before or after the original date, when availability allows and with 48+ hour prior notice, is encouraged at no charge. Please contact me if you are needing to miss a session.
Please complete (and electronically sign) these New Client forms and make sure they are submitted at least 24 hours before your first session.
If you feel that you would like to collaborate your session with another provider, simply fill out the following form (e-sign or print) and return to me.
